Director, Strategy - Old Navy (San Francisco or Los Angeles based) About the RoleIn this role you'll work front and center in defining the best path forward for Old Navy. Through rigorous analyses, focus on our customers, creative thinking, and deep partnership with the business, we develop the strategic direction for the Brand. The Old Navy Strategy team defines and evolves the Old Navy strategy, identifies and evaluates growth opportunities, and supports C-level leadership in executing on our strategy. You will drive critical projects, work cross-functionally, and provide outside-in perspective to the organization. What You'll Do • Contribute to Old Navy strategy and answer critical business questions through research, analysis, and synthesis: a. Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to inform the strategy b. Develop and execute quantitative and qualitative analyses, including models c. Synthesize findings, develop storylines, and communicate to key leaders • Lead special projects in support of the Old Navy strategy, facilitating collaboration across teams (Product, Stores, Online, Marketing, Finance, Analytics & Insights, etc.) to drive the business • Evaluate new business opportunities, assessing market potential, evaluating brand/customer fit, and developing accompanying business cases • Lead development of the Brand long range and annual plans, and drive strategy governance to track progress and assess risks and opportunities • Develop executive-level presentations and materials for key stakeholder conversations, including Board of Directors meetings, leadership meetings, etc. • Mentor team members, providing strategic guidance, thought leadership, and elevating analytical rigor and business acumen Who You Are We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, high-energy, and easy to work with!
