Summary

Maui Preparatory Academy is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Part-Time Performing Arts Educator to join our K?5 Performing Arts Department. ?

This role includes teaching K-5 theater classes.

Duties

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Teach weekly theater and performance-based classes to Lower School students (grades K?5), incorporating storytelling, expressive movement, and public speaking.
• Assist with stage direction, character development, blocking, and ensemble work for musical productions.
• Collaborate with Performing Arts faculty to support school-wide showcases, assemblies, and interdisciplinary events.
• Create a positive and engaging classroom and rehearsal environment that fosters student confidence and creativity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor?s degree in Theatre, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in performance, music, or theater.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and creative collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt and work flexibly within a school environment.
• Enthusiasm & passion for arts education and student development.
